Top Surgery Part II

Cut

horizontal lines

marking my make

designating my life,

timeline on my chest

Cut

not to pieces

but to new heights,

foreign and terrified

how has it come to this?

Cut

open wide

bleeding

suffering

no more

no less

time will test

Cut

away the pain,

the time I’ve felt

abandoned

by life, fate,

wide open scars

to show my strength
